The semester is winding down and I’m a little tired of just posting links.

I think the next step is to register on wikipedia and start contributing.  I will post my contributions, reactions and reflections on the wikipedia subculture and community here for a while.

Other than Alan Moore’s run on Swamp Thing and 1990’s Dungeons and Dragons, I’m not certain what I am really qualified to take part in but that is okay.  I believe Wikipedia has a place for me.

My long time friend, Pete, is mentioned on wikipedia, it turns out, as the man who coined the phrase, Western Martial Arts.  Wild!

The politics is largely weird and stupid. Basically, you need to (a) use any supernatural powers of sainthood you have (b) be happy to let things go for six months when other people are thinking in terms of six hours ;-)

That said, I’m still on Wikipedia after four years. That’s because it’s CRACK. TASTY TASTY CRACK. THEIR BRAINS TASTE LIKE DELICIOUS CANDY.

Alas, I couldn’t find anyone I know mentioned in Wikipedia. As for needing expertise, I say go for it and see where it takes you. If nothing else, you will learn something you didn’t know about a topic that interests you.

Not thought of checking out friends on WikiP.
Recently came across a video – YTube – the truth according to WP, which is worth a look.
